*School Skills - listening, following directions, problem solving, gluing, cutting
following routines, working well in a group and independently.
*Build Oral Vocabulary and Background Knowledge.
*Social Skills - interacting with peers, making friends, how to solve conflicts - use their words, sharing, etc.
*Academic Skills
- Recognize name, write first name, write last name
- Color Words
- Shapes - circle, triangle, square, rectangle, oval
(and being able to describe them)
- Letters - recognition, sound, blending, letter formation
- Rhyme - notice rhyming words, ability to decide if two words rhyme
- Knowledge of print - use and appreciate books, letters make words, you read
from left to right, features of print (title, author, illustrator, comprehension of and response to literature)
*Number concepts - verbally count to 20, one to one correspondence to 10, 20, number recognition to 10,20
*Location words - above, below, beside, under, next to, etc.
*Graphing - use of and interpretation
* Patterns - creation of patterns independently - AB pattern, more complex patterns ABC, AABC, etc
